American and Canadian citizens may visit the Turks and Caicos Islands using their birth certificate and one photo identification or passports. Citizens of all other countries require a valid passport in order to do so. Further citizens of some countries would need to obtain a Turks & Caicos Islands Visa to travel to the Islands .

Turks and Caicos Islands Visas are normally issued for the purposes of merely visiting the Turks and Caicos Islands (Visitors Visas) or to facilitate the application of a work permit (Employment Visas). Provisions are being made for the introduction of Student Visas in the near future.

A refundable security deposit is payable to Turks and Caicos Government upon the approval of a visa application.

Nationals or Citizens of the undermentioned countries do not require a visa to travel to the Turks & Caicos Islands.
